The Czech delegation in the S&D Group calls on the Dutch authorities to condemn Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party (PVV) new website "Meldpunt Midden en Oost Europeanen" where people can place their complaints about migrant workers from Central and Eastern European countries.

An introductory statement on the website for example says: “Are they causing you problems? Or did you lose your job to a Pole, Bulgarian, Romanian or other Central of East European? We would love to hear from you!”.

According to our delegation, this initiative of the Freedom Party encourages discrimination against and stigmatization of people from Central- and Eastern Europe. We ask the Dutch authorities to take necessary action to safeguard citizen's rights and combat all forms of racial and ethnic discrimination against all citizens alike. The European Union has laws that ban discrimination on basis of ethnicity and race, the Charter of Fundamental Rights is there to ensure and to protect the rights of all citizens of our Union.
